Sutherland Shire FAW Meetings
Writing can be an isolated, lonely pursuit.
If you're looking for support and encouragement of other writers, then come along to see if it's what you're looking for.
Our meeting structure varies from month to month.
Once we have taken care of official business (the first 30mins) we share our latest submissions and achievements, then onto some hands-on writing practice.
Guest speakers run writing exercises and workshops, and we also have open mic sessions where you get a chance to share your latest work.
And, of course, there's always time for a cuppa and a biscuit. Afternoon tea is provided on a roster basis.
HOW MUCH: $10 to attend your first meeting - with no obligation to join FAW.
After that, you will need to join NSW Fellowship of Australian Writers ($45 per year for full membership / $20 under 21 youth rate). As part of membership, you will receive the FAW quarterly magazine "The Writers Voice" and other benefits.
There is also an annual branch fee of $60 to cover the cost of the meeting room hire.
