Our Sutherland Shire FAW Writers Unleashed Festival is now in it's twelfth year.
With a strong focus on promotion and support of Australian writers and publishers, the Festival aims to educate and encourage aspiring writers and illustrators throughout the region.
Each year, we attract a wide variety of presenters ranging from adult and YA fiction, to children's authors, to memoir writers and poets. One-hour sessions run concurrently across three rooms, covering a range of topics and genres to reflect the diversity of writers within Australia. We also provide a platform for emerging local authors to present their work, and this year, we are offering hands-on workshop sessions.
One of the most popular features of our Festival is the opportunity to book a publication consultation with the people who can make a difference - the editors and agents of the publishing industry.
